A journey through all kinds of witchcraft.

This second season of Wild Women Healers brings us all across the states in pursuit of magic and healing.

“Magic, every damn day.”

— Anais L’amore, Mystical Mandrake Root

Episode 5 // Mystical Mandrake Root

Anais L’Amour is a talented astrologer, healer, intuitive tarot reader and herbalist. She is so humble about her work, which is part of her charm. We met in New York City on one of the hottest days in May 2018 to film this episode.

Anais takes us through her origin story of creating Mystical Mandrake Root, a self-empowerment toolkit made with love. As any good healer, Anais set out to learn more about herself through her tools like astrology, to understand herself and to come back home to herself. She took the “deep dive” as she says and found that learning more about her birth chart gave her a feeling of personal power she had never known before. Now she shares these gifts with us through Mystical Mandrake Root, giving personal readings, one on one healing, magical tools on her online store as well as group classes in NYC and Nola.

“Your wounds are a portal into your expansion.”

— Brandon Alter

Episode 6 // Brandon Alter ft. Brandonna Summer

Brandon Alter is one of my favorite people in the whole world. He’s an extremely heart centered healer who’s Aquarian nature easily brings the esoteric into understandable bite-sized pieces, a true modern day Hierophant. We met in late August of 2018 to film his episode of Wild Women Healers in the harsh heat and cosmic beauty of Joshua Tree, California.

All of the offerings and services Brandon gives to the world are tools and techniques that he has found profoundly useful on his own healing journey. A space-holder and mystic, he has attracted clients in need of someone with a gentle and caring presence and more recently has been turning his efforts in helping his own community, the LGBTQA and other marginalized beings. Although we filmed 2 years ago at the date of publishing this video, Brandon’s message of healing feels even more important than ever this year in 2020. Thank you Brandon for teaching us all that “pain is your portal” to healing and finding endless joy.

We were also honored to get a special guest appearance from Brandonna Summer, an international woman of mystery, a bright shining Leo and an inspiration to us all. She flew in last minute to meet us in the desert that day for a whirlwind sunset tour and interview, sharing her stories of resilience with a dose of sharp truths and deep belly laughs. It was healing just being in her presence, and I’m sure Brandonna would agree! If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my time with Brandonna, it’s to live your life to the fullest and be unapologetically yourself. To connect with her follow her instagram.

“My success is living this life, being in my magic, my purpose, every single day. “

— Jessyka Winston, Haus of Hoodoo

Episode 7 // Jessyka Winston

Imagine The High Priestess combined with The Empress to create one powerful badass witch, that’s Jessyka Winston. She’s an inspiration to anyone seeking to live a spiritually led life. We met up in September 2018 in New Orleans to talk magic, Vodou, purpose and healing.

Jessyka Winston is the founder of Haus Of Hoodoo, a spiritual oasis in New Orleans. In the first half of her episode, she takes us through a bit of her origin story, following the bread crumbs that lead her to her ancestral practice of Vodou and what it was like starting her business and sharing her gifts and her practice with others (like her infamous fixed candles and spiritual baths).

Haus of Hoodoo is an online platform dedicated to waking up the magic in people, as well as education and healing. A Vodou Manbo, Witch, Healer, Teacher, Creative and Intuitive, Jessyka is also dedicated to reshaping and retelling the narrative around Black spirituality, especially her own ancestral lineage of Vodou.

It has been an honor and privilege to share some of Jessyka’s story and to get to know her over the last few years.

And make sure you watch all the way to the end of this episode for a 2021 update from Jess!
